Peter Doherty’s new solo album Grace/Wastelands is due to be released on March 24th.

Peter Doherty turned thirty years old on the 12th of March. He capped the last year of his twenties by exhibiting his artwork in Paris, and selling out his solo show at London’s renowned Royal Albert Hall.

Putting out an album with only his name on the cover, says Peter, is one of the most frightening things he has ever done.

The single, “Last of the English Roses”, is released on March 9th.

With a solo debut album slated for release on March 9, his camp released a video of the first single off his new album, “Last Of The English Roses“.

Some already think the song is genius and can’t wait for the new album, while others lament the gay kissing scene at the end of the video. Go for it, and have your own opinion.

The album, which is currently untitled, was produced by Stephen Street (The Smiths, Blur, Kaiser Chiefs) and features Graham Coxon (Blur) on all of the songs except one, “Broken Love Song“. His Babyshambles bandmates are not left out and play on the album as well.
