Flaming Lips new double LP entitled Embryonic to feature both MGMT & Karen O?!

Rumours have been strife of such news and it seems they are returning to days when their music was weird and oh so bohemian!

Chairlift’s “Bruises” was used as an ipod commercial a lifetime ago to garner much attention but they have recently come up with their very own video for that track. (was about time in our opinion)

Then, the visuals which accompanied the song were bright young things made by balding old men.

After excessive airplay and countless moments of madness, MGMT has finally decided to roll out an official video for “KIDS”.

No one will surprise us unless they do.

Chairlift’s rise to fame might just do them injustice after all.

With a spot on an ipod commercial (a surefire way to fame), they melted adolescents all over the world with that wonderful ballad.

We all fell in the presence of the great album from MGMT but here’s 2 loaded remixes of one of their lovely tracks, “Of  Moons, Birds & Monsters”.

Holy Ghost! does an electroglam remix you will never forget and Soft Rocks does a subtle soft mix to soothe the soul.

It has been reported that MGMT is demanding compensation from the French President, Nicolas Sarkozy for the use of their track “Kids” at a national congress of his union, and in 2 online videos.

Its really not nice to introduce a band as “the one with the song used in the ipod ad”.

Its a given that a band would get a much more attention and scrutiny if their songs are used in an apple commercial.

The title of my post also didn’t highlight that..

It would be convenient to do so but no i’m not gonna do that.

It doesn’t do Chairlift justice.

The song used in the ad was bloody brilliant and I really don’t know how apple keeps on doing it.

Good things come in pairs.

The hippest band of the year MGMT (If you don’t know it by now you must have been really in love with the Jonas Brothers), is gonna have their 2nd album produced by none other then Chemical Brothers.

This is the age of collaborations and nothing gets bigger than this to keep me foaming once again in excitement.

Its also gonna be a double album.

It would consist of one “pop” side and another with “psychedelic” music.
