Following an internet leak, Yeah Yeah Yeahs pushed forward their album release of Its Blitz! (Last week) and the CD will be officially available on the 31st Of March.

They also have a spanking new video of their latest single “Zero” which in our opinion will rock your socks off.

When the dust settled after Silent Alarm, Bloc Party reached a sacred place.
They were revered as greats even though it was just one album.
Silent Alarm was raw, in your face and incredibly successful, and deservedly so.

With A Weekend In The City, they experimented with more textured sounds, and came back with poor returns. Many slammed them and blamed it on the curse of the sophomore album. It was a surprise that their second album was on torrent sites months before the actual release.

This time round, they came to fight. With Intimacy slated to release in late 2008, they intentionally stunned the world with 3 days notice and started selling digital downloads of their album for 5 pounds in August.
It seemed like they were gonna use all the experience they had.

There are a million and one more nice things said about lykke li with each passing day.

One day we are gonna exhaust all the adjectives we can use to describe just how much of a character lykke li is.

I am still going to let you in on how much she deserves to be great. not just good, but awesome great.

I believe (and so does lykke li), that the term indie is a useless term and that there is no indie music, only good, quality music which makes people stand up and listen.

As much as it would be easy to classify her with the wonderful swedish music crowd, lets treat her like she belongs to another world.

Her debut album youth novels is one to marvel at.

In this album she will literally serenade, coo, whisper, sing, mix it up with foot stomps, loudhailers and most definitely cast a spell on you with the fragility and edginess to her. Various personalities come through all the time, with different layers peeling off with each song, reminding you of her diversity.

It is a journey with lykke li, a whole bag of emotions involved.

Poised, articulate, flirtatious, precocious, inimitable, unpretentious, genius.

Dont be daunted by these descriptions, it still comes through with simplicity in the end and we will all be left wanting so much more.

dont ask me why i have so much affection for mates of state.

its not entirely logical.

maybe its because there are only the two of them and they manage to produce such lush, complex, varied sounds.

maybe its because they are always under rated to me.

maybe its beacuse they are married with two kids and they dont make music parents do.

maybe its because under all the circumstances and draw of being musicians they manage to remain inseperable.

maybe its because they have a film about themselves.

maybe its because they have nice music videos like below.

its not too indie and its not too poppy.
not too heavy and not too light.

its the perfect mix of both, a real good balance.
