After a long hard day spent with nose pressed firmly and continually against the grindstone, what you need (apart from a beer) is a double-serving 0f powerful pop replete with larger-than-life choruses to sooth the beast within. And let’s face it, no-one does it like VISITOR.

Fresh from the recent release of their ‘Vat:Auhlau’ EP (check it here on Tashed), Swedish wonderkids Stay Ali have chipped in with an exclusive live performance for our brand new Tashcast, featuring bags of improvisation and at least one brand new track. Unconventional is the magic word!

Truth be told, we’re not really fans of ‘post-dubstep’ being passed off as a genre. Scenes change, sounds evolve and the melting pot continues to bubble with a thousand and one continually morphing styles, yet at no point does a genre sever ties with the past. How could it?

I think there’s no better way to start the second week of writing column with an interview with Terence Koh, the name synonymous with art, fashion, design and basically just being my the special one of a kind person that he is. I’ve admired and respected his work for years and also his radical dress sense, no one quite wears Margiela and fur like he does.

The Hundred in the Hands is Jason Friedman and Eleanore Everdell. The group was recently signed on to Warp to make intense, emotional music reminiscent of classic dance tunes from NY.

My name is Angie and from this entry onwards I’ll be contributing to the fashion section of tashed. I thought it’d be nice to introduce myself for the first entry that I am doing which I swear isn’t completely narcissistic and all about me. There’ll just be a bit of a directional change due to different preferences between the previous contributors and myself so I thought I might just clarify that in the first post.

There’s a juxtaposition of luxury and a warped sense of vulgarity and humour in this photo and I guess in a sense it describes what I will write about best. I like luxury but I don’t like to take it too seriously. I’m not one of those psychotic girls who refresh style.com or (insert whatever fashion website here) every 10 minutes. However what I will write about are light hearted entries that includes content like interviews with global designers/buyers/fashion you know whos, discussions on fashion labels, fashion history, the usual fashion updates, maybe the odd occasional bit of design related stuff and well whatever you can think of that is related to fashion, it’s a wide spectrum I will say.

I’m not exactly a fashion blogger, but I ‘m no High Snobiety either. Guess I have somewhat of an identity crisis here

So folks… here we have it! Our second Tashcast and it’s another killer mix, this time courtesy of hotly-tipped Boston duo Soul Clap. It’s a real honour to have these guys onboard, and they sure have delivered with a deeply-chilled hour-long excursion through funk and downtempo house.

And here we have it ladies and gentlemen… our very first TASHCAST: a full hour of blissful, screaming electronics courtesy of Harajuku’s very own grandmaster of hardware manipulation – Rhythm Droid.

Raised on a strict Californian diet of sun, sea, surf and imported Japanese anime, Devon Hughes AKA Rhythm Droid ditched the comforts of the west-coast to immerse himself in the hyper-accelerated heart of Tokyo’s infamous creative hub: Harajuku. Tashed went on location to chat with the 29 year old producer…

This is probably the most exciting interview we have done since our inception.
