ROYKSOPP SENIOR // THIS SPACE

We have been patiently waiting for news on Senior which we thought would be released last year, and the anticipation feeds our desire for a brand new album which can take us back to Melody AM. It has been confirmed that Royksopp’s Senior will be out 13 September.

You can have the first taste of the album with their vision, and in this vision they saw themselves as a sleeping hobo and an old man respectively. The following is a vivid depiction of some of the events that occurred during an intended stay in Barbieland. The short film also features music off the upcoming album.

If this doesn’t tease you enough in anticipation of what is to come, the band has given away a melancholic mash-up of sorts, using elements from a few sources, with the track ‘This Space’, by the excellent Woolfy vs. Projections as the starting point. It was meant as a ‘farewell to summer’ tune and they have gone on a complete journey with this, coming up with a perfect late summer cinematic for sure.

They have given away a couple of brilliant tunes over the months and this has to be the one that takes the cake for us, grab it with both ears and treasure it.
