Sometimes silence speaks volumes. Unfortunately in the case of Toronto-based duo (we think) What Kind Breeze Do You Blow? (shortened to WKBDYB), a deafening press silence serves only to heighten the air of mystery surrounding their killer remixes and productions.

Signed to hotly-tipped Brilliantine Records, the duo’s debut release “Love of Luxury” has just been given the remix treatment by Tashed faves Montauk, who sprinkled liberal handfuls of piano-house fairy dust over the original for maximal Daft Punk effect. The track is out now Juno and DJtunes, accompanied by a new remix of previous banger “The Probe” courtesy of Deux Helix. Check out the Montauk remix below.

Speaking of Montauk, the good folks at Brilliantine are also celebrating their inclusion of their debut track “Holiday” on the May 2010 chart mix from master Belgian tastemakers Aeroplane. It’s a belter as you would expect, and also includes a tasty little remix of Amari who we posted on recently, as well as Rodion, Siriusmo and more. There’s even a brand new remix from CFCF to finish off proceedings. Good news all round then…

Quite a lot of music all in all, but we couldn’t leave you without posting lone last track. Lake Heartbeat’s remix of the “Love of Luxury” was heavily blogged a while back, but it’s always worth revisiting a tune this good – the pace is frenetic, the atmosphere is edgy and the synths are bloody fantastic.
