Luke Foskey AKA Youth is a startlingly youth-ful (i.e. 20 years of age) Brisbanite with a penchant for epic Italo sounds.

Formerly Dyce and then D.Y.C., he’s turned a few heads with accomplished re-edits of disco classics like Class Action’s ‘Weekend’ and Gino Soccio’s ‘Dancer’, as well as more unlikely reworkings of Stevie Nicks and Arthur Russell. Hell, he’s even worked his magical touch on Kanye West’s ‘Love Lockdown’.

That the source material is so diverse speaks volumes for this guy’s considerable skill. His arrangements are lush and spacey, with same attention to detail that makes CFCF’s ‘Continent’ an instant classic, while also keeping the energy high and staying true to the dancefloor.

There’s clearly a lot more to come from this guy, especially with new EP ‘Dark Moons’ out soon on Flagrant Fowl. Check out his myspace to hear the track in full, and tell us you’re not amazed. Or rather don’t, because we won’t listen.
