VAMPIRE WEEKEND “HORCHATA”

Vampire Weekend infected the music world virally with an image of a girl staring blankly into the camera, linking to a website ithinkyouarecontra.com which then led to an enlarged image of the girl.

No one knew what it was then, but it was actually to ‘inform’ us all of their upcoming album Contra, which will be released in January next year.

Not bad an effort, considering it created a huge buzz among music sites all over the world.

Ezra Koenig’s latest effort before this was lending his vocals to “Warm Heart Of Africa” by The Very Best, so we were pleasantly surprised when they premiered this brand new track from their upcoming LP on XL recordings.
