Raised on 90’s hip-hop and nourished by old skool rave, Slater cultivated his love for music and combined his influences to birth his own style of musical production.
Emerging as one of the most notable up and coming electro and heavy bass producers, he was noticed and taken under the wing of fellow Brooklynite label, Trouble & Bass (home to Drop the Lime, Curses, Math Head, Passions).
With a notorious musical family behind him, 10 years behind the decks, and an arsenal of tracks, Slater is set to take on the world.
He continues to display his excellent DJing skills from all over Europe to the UK, up to Canada, down to Mexico, back over to Asia, and everywhere in between leaving a trail of pumping adrenaline and wobbly speakers behind him.

1. Hello there! Why the name AC Slater? We know its your initials but is there something else to it?
Yeah it comes from my initials but the Slater part was just a joke that kind of ended up sticking. I have a love/hate relationship with my nickname!
2. Are you excited with this lone stop in the Far East? (Singapore)
Very much so. Looking forward to bringing the NYC bass sound to Singapore!
3. Tell us more about what you do with your label Party Like Us! Who’s involved in it?
Its a project I started so that I could release some of my own music digitally when I wanted and on my own terms. Some other friends of mine are involved such as B. Rich and Udachi. I’ve also been able to get a lot of really talented producers to do some amazing remixes for the label. We’ve got a lot of exciting things coming up over the rest of the year.
4. What more can we expect from AC Slater this year?
More tunes, remixes, and touring! I love keeping busy and have an absolute blast doing it.
5. Dubstep is all the rage now but what are your major influences (We hear you love grime)?
Everything I hear influences me, its impossible not to! I love UK dance music though and I grew up on hip hop.
6. Favorite artists/DJs/Producers of the moment?
Udachi, Toddla T, Joker, Drop the Lime, Mightyfools, B. Rich
7. Any collaborations coming up soon with people outside Trouble & Bass?
Yes! Right now I’m working on projects with Goldielocks, Fagget Fairys, 77klash, to name a few. I’m really having fun working with vocalists and plan on doing it a lot more.
8. Most unforgettable/sick/weird set ever? What happened?
Most unforgettable set was probably when I played an entire set while skateboarding on a half pipe in outer space.
