THE ENEMY: MUSIC FOR THE PEOPLE

Music | Johnny | April 29, 2009

The Enemy released Music For The People digitally today and we have been playing it over and over again the past week or so.

This is a testosterone driven album and we have to admit, it has “essential british rock and roll” smeared all over.

The Enemy is a three piece from Coventry, England and is no stranger to the British music scene, exploding onto the scene in 07′ and hogged the charts, including NME’s front cover many a time. Their debut album “We’ll Live And Die In These Towns” was a favorite here with its muscular, fuss-free rock and roll.

The band hopes to reach new audiences, elevate their level of playing as well as conquer their collective vivacious creative energies. “The new record will blow a lot of people away.

According to Clarke: “There are people who don’t know our band yet or write us off as three-chord indie who are going to be surprised. We have really grown a set of bollocks, that’s the only way to describe it.”

Well, we definitely know them and love their sound rotten.

If you have had enough of the dance or disco infused tracks hogging the limelight these days, The Enemy will show you what pure rock and roll is all about.
