ALISON MOSSHART “VV” OF THE KILLS PASSES OUT DURING CONCERT

Music | Johnny | April 28, 2009

Was it fatigue or juggling 2 different massive bands at one time?

Alison “VV” Mosshart of The Kills apparently passed out with a sudden inablity to breathe properly while singing. In an official statement from the tour manager:

“Alison was suffering from a cold which, combined with a cough and the altitude in Boulder, affected her ability to breathe properly while singing. She was taken to the hospital and was kept there for a short while for observation. She was released later that night and is doing fine today.”

This happened last week at the Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colorado.

She has come out on The Kills website saying this:

“hello everyone a quick note to everyone who came to the boulder gig at the fox theatre last night…. sorry i left i the stage earlier than planned. my lungs closed and suddenly i couldn’t breathe. it happened repeatedly for the rest of the night. fits of choking. spent a good three hours at the hospital trying to stop choking. not the kind of night i had planned! thank you to all of you who were concerned. i really appreciate it! i will be fine! x x x vv”

We hope everything is well on her side as we really cannot imagine a world without music from her.

Watch her ever enigmatic presence in the music video for  “Black Balloon”, which was released in Feb:

  4. Found this blog through a link on my favorite blog Down Charleston Blvd. – http://downcharlestonblvd.wordpress.com – I’m so glad a clicked the link, this has become my second favorite blog. So many blogs are just regurgitated crap – cut and past cut and paste so I am very particular about the blogs I read.
