Maria Taylor – Time Lapse Lifeline

Music | Johnny | March 9, 2009

We cannot forget the time when Azure Ray split and Maria Taylor left to do her own solo work.

It was in 04′ when it happened, and we really felt lost without the dream pop they made.

It was laced with alternative, country and even minimalist electronica, producing something we wish we had much much more of, even up till now.

Maria and Orenda are in another band called Now Its Overhead, but nothing is going to be able to replace Azure Ray’s music.
Its been awhile since the split, with Maria is coming up with her 3rd solo album, Ladyluck.

Maria’s solo stuff have been featured regularly on Greys Anatomy, and we are sure the new stuff will be used in many more shows.

One might actually expect an album that sounds sad and melancholy when hearing that LadyLuck was inspired by a breakup.
Instead, what we have are upbeat folk rock rhythms, punching lyrics, and a sound that is equally dark as optimistic.

The singer songwriter’s subtle sweet voice and plaintive delivery take command as the band adds an incredible dynamic to the music.

Ladyluck is out 31 March, but you really HAVE to grab this.
