Jakob Dylan

Music | Johnny | March 9, 2009

Lets put it this way, nothing, NOTHING will ever chase away your monday blues better than the music of Jakob Dylan.

We meant to feature him as part of Sunday Sounds, but we had to start the week totally right with  Bob Dylan’s son.

He knew he had large footsteps to follow in, but being the lead singer of alt-rock band The Wallflowers and winning multiple grammys without using the family name, he has shown that he has handled his success with much grace.

Being intensely private probably helps, as there are very few pictures of his wife and children available.

He released his solo album “Seeing Things” last year and we regret not mentioning it till now.

It is an entirely stripped down folk album and is really really beautiful.

His tracks have even been featured on the wonderful TV series, Friday Night Lights, capturing his music to its very essence in a few scenes.

Mondays never seemed so serene.
