Daft Punk to score soundtrack for TR2N

Music | Johnny | March 6, 2009

Daft Punk have been signed by Walt Disney to compose the score for TR2N.

TR2N is an updated version of the science fiction animation hit “TRON” from way back in 1982.It will be the first time since 2005 that Daft Punk goes back to the studio and their very first complete feature film score.

The poster for TRON 1.0 is below.

Now you know where all the electro artists of “today” get inspiration for their visual styles.

The film, which is already in production, is scheduled for a 2011 release.
Daft Punk is splitting their time between Paris and LA, and with their last album “Human After All” from way back in 2005, it looks like we have to wait even longer for brand new stuff from the pair.

  1. Correction… not Alphabeat… but rather Alphabeat, Leon Jean Marie, and above all Frankmusik (who also produced the track)
