Sebastien Tellier

To say that Sebastien Tellier makes sick electronic music is like saying Barack Obama is black.

Its a terribly myopic statement and you’d be missing out on the big picture.

This is a man who is a singer, songwriter, plays multiple instruments and sings in english, french and italian. If thats not enough, his music flirts with genres like pop, lo-fi electronica to bizarre cabaret tunes.

He once instructed listeners to listen to his first album only by candlelight, with one of his tracks “Fantino” chosen by Sofia Coppola to be on the soundtrack of Lost In Translation. Eccentric or Genius?

He composed the score for the film Narco, and collaborated with Mr. Oizo (Ed Banger) for the soundtrack of Mr. Oizo’s film directorial debut, Steak.

Last year, Tellier released his 3rd album, Sexuality, with the producer of Daft Punk, to critical acclaim.
One of the tracks off the album, ‘Kilometer’, have been remixed by the likes of A-Trak, Aeroplane (remember friendly fires?) and of course our favorites, Ted & Francis.

All the remixes are mint and will leave your jaw dropped, but also enjoy “Fantino” from the soundtrack of Lost In Translation.
