[New Video] Pete Doherty – Last Of The English Roses

We mourned the demise of The Libertines, but do we have enough hope in us for more Pete Doherty?

Pete will always be in our hearts when he and Carl effortlessly charmed the world.
Here he comes again, not as Babyshambles, but all alone.

With a solo debut album slated for release on March 9, his camp released a video of the first single off his new album, “Last Of The English Roses“.

Some already think the song is genius and can’t wait for the new album, while others lament the gay kissing scene at the end of the video. Go for it, and have your own opinion.

The album, which is currently untitled, was produced by Stephen Street (The Smiths, Blur, Kaiser Chiefs) and features Graham Coxon (Blur) on all of the songs except one, “Broken Love Song“. His Babyshambles bandmates are not left out and play on the album as well.

  1. The gay kiss is a little gross, but considering Pete Doherty’s hilariously passionate love for Carl (all best friend duos in rock are secretly gay), it all makes sense. Good song though, sort of quiet
