A-Side for our brand new Summer mix.
Sun, sand and lady included.

A brand new mix hot off the press, including selected corkers from Kyle Hall, John Talabot, Soul Clap, Deadboy, Jose James, Space Dimension Controller and others...
After a long hard day spent with nose pressed firmly and continually against the grindstone, what you need (apart from a beer) is a double-serving 0f powerful pop replete with larger-than-life choruses to sooth the beast within. And let's face it, no-one does it like VISITOR.
I think there’s no better way to start the second week of writing column with an interview with Terence Koh, the name synonymous with art, fashion, design and basically just being my the special one of a kind person that he is. I’ve admired and respected his work for years and also his radical dress sense, no one quite wears Margiela and fur like he does.
My name is Angie and from this entry onwards I’ll be contributing to the fashion section of tashed. I thought it’d be nice to introduce myself for the first entry that I am doing which I swear isn’t completely narcissistic and all about me. There’ll just be a bit of a directional change due to different preferences between the previous contributors and myself so I thought I might just clarify that in the first post. source:unknown There’s a juxtaposition of luxury and a warped sense of vulgarity and humour in this photo and I guess in a sense it describes what I ...
So folks... here we have it! Our second Tashcast and it's another killer mix, this time courtesy of hotly-tipped Boston duo Soul Clap. It's a real honour to have these guys onboard, and they sure have delivered with a deeply-chilled hour-long excursion through funk and downtempo house.
Raised on a strict Californian diet of sun, sea, surf and imported Japanese anime, Devon Hughes AKA Rhythm Droid ditched the comforts of the west-coast to immerse himself in the hyper-accelerated heart of Tokyo’s infamous creative hub: Harajuku. Tashed went on location to chat with the 29 year old producer...
This is probably the most exciting interview we have done since our inception. “A Huge influence on bands like Daft Punk, SPACE sold 12 million records across 4 albums from 1977-81, and are sadly referred to as one of Europe's great forgotten innovators of the 1970’s”

One more time. DON’T GET BIG, GET MASSIVE.
Jut because this promo came in today, we had to do a post. For real.
And because we absolutely dig this dude’s music.
Luke Million has been on our overheated radar for ages now and is the hectic keys player and synth wizard from The Swiss. He often starts his morning by bench pressing his Yamaha CP-70 and drinking 3 or 4 shakes of reel to reel tape.
On the first side is the stella italo jam “Arnold”, which we have all toned our biceps to for a while now. On the flip side is “Sun Splash” – a SMOKING new tropical beast that should please fans of our Poolside 12″ and early Metro Area workouts.
Check out the “Arnold” video clip we have put on all our channels:

And suss out Luke’s earlier EP Italo Journey / Octobussy featuring tastey remixes from Mighty Mouse and Brennan Green while you are at it.

Woah look who’s still alive. We are! And just to prove it, here’s a brand new mix fresh out of the over. Featuring stellar cuts from the likes of Tony Lionni, Session Victim, Julio Bashmore, Sigha, Martyn, Midland and Lone.

Finally… a brand new mix is online. We’ve been letting this one stew for too long. Some of our favourite tracks from 2010 on here, including music from Pariah, Scuba, Breach, Azari & III, Kink, Soul Clap and more.

We’ll keep this one brief… more because of a lack of tangible information than a desire to be pithy and readable. We don’t know a great deal about new-age two-stepper Roof Light, other than that he’s very, very good at the old production business.

Some might be confused as to what Matthew Dear does. Some say he is a DJ, others think he is a dance-music producer, and many say think he is simply the co-founder of both Ghostly International and its dancefloor offshoot, Spectral Sound.

Many have attempted to be part of the recent chillwave/dreampop resurgence, but few get remembered (by us at least). We cannot claim to be absolute fans of the genre, as it is either a hit or miss for us at times.

Sometime over the past ten years Ghostly International quietly turned into one of the world’s best labels for interesting, glitchy electronica. Some fantastic 2010 releases have cemented this reputation (e.g. Matthew Dear’s ‘Black City‘), and their latest offering from Brooklyn débutante Shigeto makes sure the standard stays sky-high.

Solar Bears‘ music could legitimately be described as leafy, or earthy, or even even grain-fed, 100% organic. But forget the trite nature-related descriptors… how about we just say they’re really bloody good?

Blimey, where does the time go? We’d love to offer up a few choice excuses for the radio silence but now is not the time. No, now is the time to discuss the impending arrival of our favourite disco double act – the excellent Glass Candy and Chromatics, who perform live at Zouk Singapore this coming Thursday 4th November.
